How we handle your personal information.
This policy explains what Katy Dent Repair collects through this website, why we use it, when we disclose it, and the choices available to you.
Effective date: June 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through katydentrepair.com, our website forms, and related communications that reference this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you request an estimate, contact us, or communicate with us, we may collect:
- Name, telephone number, email address, ZIP code, and preferred contact method.
- Vehicle year, make, model, condition, hail-damage details, and repair-related information.
- Insurance status and information you choose to provide for estimate or claim coordination.
- Messages, appointment requests, referral source, and other information submitted to us.
- Optional vehicle photographs and information contained in those files, which may include a license plate, surroundings, people, or file metadata.
- Reviews, feedback, or social-media content you authorize us to display.
Please do not upload driver's licenses, Social Security numbers, payment-card information, medical records, account passwords, or other highly sensitive documents through the estimate form.
Information collected automatically
When you use the website, our systems and service providers may automatically collect technical information such as your Internet Protocol address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring page, date and time, approximate location derived from an IP address, campaign or referral parameters, error logs, and security-related activity.
Information from other sources
We may receive information from an insurer, repair partner, referral source, advertising or analytics provider, social-media platform, or other party when you authorize the disclosure, request that we coordinate with that party, or interact with our business through that service.
2. How we use information
We may use personal information to:
- Respond to estimate requests and customer inquiries.
- Inspect damage, evaluate repair options, schedule appointments, and provide services.
- Communicate by telephone, text message, or email about your request, appointment, repair, or customer-service matter.
- Coordinate estimates, supplements, claims, rentals, parts, or repairs with insurers and service partners when requested or authorized.
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the website and forms.
- Measure website traffic, referral sources, advertising performance, and service demand.
- Prevent spam, fraud, misuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity.
- Maintain business records, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Telephone, text, and email communications
When you provide contact information in connection with an estimate or service request, you authorize us to respond using the contact method you selected or another reasonable method related to that request. We do not treat a service-request consent as consent to unrelated recurring marketing messages. Message and data rates may apply to text messages. You may ask us to stop nonessential text or email communications at any time.
Mobile opt-in information and consent records are not sold or disclosed to third parties for their own marketing. We may provide this information to communications vendors solely to deliver messages on our behalf or as otherwise required by law.
4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, and similar technologies for website operation, security, analytics, attribution, and—if enabled—advertising measurement. These technologies may collect device identifiers, browser information, pages viewed, interactions, referral information, and approximate location.
You can control many cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some technologies may affect website functionality. Where applicable law requires consent or an opt-out mechanism, we will provide the required choice before using the relevant technology.
We do not currently sell personal information for money, and we do not currently use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Before activating any technology that would legally constitute a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, we will update this policy and provide any legally required notice and opt-out controls. Where required by applicable law and technically supported, we will process recognized universal opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control.
5. How we disclose information
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients:
- Website and technology providers that provide hosting, databases, file storage, cybersecurity, spam prevention, analytics, communications, backup, and technical support.
- Insurers and repair-related partners when you request or authorize coordination related to an estimate, claim, supplement, rental, part, or repair.
- Professional advisers such as attorneys, accountants, insurers, or consultants when reasonably necessary.
- Government, regulatory, or law-enforcement authorities when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or the integrity of our services.
- A successor organization in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.
- Other parties at your direction or with your consent.
Service providers are permitted to process information only for authorized business purposes and are expected to protect it appropriately.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Retention periods depend on whether an inquiry becomes a customer relationship, whether a repair or warranty remains active, and whether records are needed for insurance, accounting, tax, security, dispute-resolution, or legal purposes. When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we take steps to delete, deidentify, or securely dispose of it.
7. Data security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access restrictions, secure transmission, credential controls, service-provider controls, backups, and security monitoring appropriate to the nature of the information. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should not send information through the website that is not necessary for your repair request.
